Levendige Plint (Lively Ground Floor) is a display space in Borgerhout, Antwerp. Measuring just 12 square meters, it sits at street level behind a gate that can be opened to welcome passers-by and visitors inside. The name comes from Article 12 of the City of Antwerp’s housing code, which aims to prevent streets from appearing “dead.” In this case, it represents an active and accessible ground floor where there is regularly something to see or experience. Once a week, the space is arranged as a showroom where furniture and everyday objects are presented. In addition, it hosts activities that — whether closely or loosely connected — relate to the practice: talks, presentations, collaborations with other makers, or small temporary exhibitions.

Levendige Plint officially opens on 21 September 2025, coinciding with the launch of the SL1
